Looking to hire a lady to do cleaning and be"z babysit when I give birth.
Dont know where and how to start looking.
I do not want a spanish woman, and preferably one that doesn't live in.
I am in Monsey for reference.
Please take a min to answer my question.

Clarify what exactly it is you want them to do.
If you have other kids, do you want this person to watch them?
Must they speak English?
What is more important to you - cleaning or childcare? Most people are not good at both.

Looking for someone to do mostly cleaning and housework, and take care of a newborn. I do have other children, but would not like her to take care of her.

So it sounds like cleaning is really what you're looking for. If you have other kids, you need to think about who's watching them.
I'd suggest get one person for cleaning, and a mother's helper for the newborn / kids. If you try to use one person for both jobs, corners will be cut.
