Scenario #1:

"Hello contributor! Can you make a donation today? 72 nis? Wow! Thank you so much! I see that's more than you donated last time. We appreciate whatever you can part with right now!"

Scenario #2:

"Hello contributor! Can you make a donation? 72 nis? Are you sure you can't do more? No? Can I put 72 nis monthly? No? Maybe you can do 180? It comes with a bracha? and 180 monthly gets you more zchuyos? No? ok, ok...."

Just venting...I really, really want to help, but I don't want to feel like you're sucking my blood.

Worst:
Hi, First of all I wanted to thank you for your previous contribution....

Stop with the fake thanks. Get to the point.

Totally agree with you. It makes me not want to give it all. I really wonder if they see success with this. Because often times people’s financial situation changing it just makes a person feel really bad.

Especially when I never contributed to your organization before

Recently I got a call from an organization that I has just donated to a few days before
I replied " I actually just donated to you"
Their reply "yes and we appreciate that, can you give more?"
So so so tacky!!!

If I wanted to give more I would've given more yesterday when I donated! No I don't want to donate again today and no I don't want you to send me a link in case I change my mind

None. I’ve never given money because I got a random phone call.

Recently got a call along these lines
"Thank you for your donation in the past of $100. We're raising money for xyz can you help with this?
-I don't donate over the phone. Please send me a link
Sure no problem I will send it to the email we have on file but can I mark you down for $100?
-I don't donate over the phone please send me a link. Thank you.
And then I hung up

I never got the link emailed like they said they would so I let it go. A couple weeks later I get a letter in the mail telling me to pay up my pledge of $100 followed by an email saying the same thing.

They definitely not getting any more money from me.

This literally word for word happened to me. I was so annoyed. And I only gave to them last year bc a close friend had a page to donate to their campaign. Not cute.

I also don’t donate or pledge over the phone. Asking me multiple times will not change that. Fundraisers, take note!
