look where your money is going each month. then you can make a budget.

regarding food. do you have a lot of leftovers? do you use up all of the produce that you buy. buy whats on sale.

Tamiri, I was waiting to see you post here Smile
Write down every penny you spend. I use quicken, but you can do it on paper too. And then mark what is essential, what is unnecessary, etc.

It seems to me that if OP just now figured out that income is less than expenditure, budgeting is something she and DH will have to learn. They need to first start cutting down, before even another day goes by, then take that old paper and pencil and write down every cent. It's easy to ask people in Imamother what is reasonable for rent, food, electric etc. and compare.
The first thing to do, however, is cut out anything that is not an absolute necessity, starting today. Pesach is not an excuse, it's a challenge.
Hey, did I just coin a phrase?

I pay only 4 things I can't do myself. I can do a regular manicure myself, 4 example. Sheitals, not. But I haven't washed in a year ad a half, so that's ok imo.

Do you have mos that you spend less? Otherwise u might think about a 2nd job.
