lol Ruchel. We call our Mendy Mendool sometimes too. We call him Mendel Bendel, Mendush, Manny, Mendall and sometiems I'll just call him Menachem. but usually he's simply Mendele.

once rav pesach kron told a story of a boy named mendel... the problem was everyone called him mental...which totally ruined him.
I heard this story years ago...

My husband's name is Menachem Mendel and everyone calls him Mendy, even his mother who always calls everyone by their full given name calls him Mendy because it's considered the same name but my husband's nephew's name is Menachem Mendel and they call him Menachem or they drop the M and same 'Nachem.
