I had that when my baby was two months. It was tough. It was really annoying when my arm was itchy and I couldn't scratch it because of the cast.
I learned how to pick up my baby with one hand, with my cast to help.
Get extra help, cleaning, etc.

it workes wonders. maybe to put it in prespective for you? at least it is yourself and you act like an adult and wont throw tantrums etc. at least you understand and will manage. plus it is your hand. not a foot. I have a 2.5 yr old son who is in a body cast for 6 weeks, and it really has not been easy.
but try the cast cooler- it works well

 I am so happy for you!
I know someone that had a cast on her foot, the dr told her to take it easy, but we all have things to do, right?
she went about doing things, and she tripped on that hard shoe the dr put on her, so she went back, and lo and behold, she broke her second ankle! the dr asked her if she wanted matching shoes! lol
( those hard shoes weigh a ton, hard to shlep around)
hope no one will need this info, but TAKE IT EASY!
