I have some old-but-decent white undershirts and layering shirts that have nasty stains, presumably from sweat and deodorant.
they don't bother me as long as they're clean, and I usually wear that part covered anyway, but I want to be able to wear one particular long-sleeve shirt with a sleeveless dress, and the stains are very obvious that way.
Any tips?

I find that the stains on the underarms of undershirts are impossible to get out after a while.
But you can probably still salvage your white long sleeved shirt.
Soak it in a basin that has a solution of boiling hot water mixed with a generous amount of Cascade dishwashing gel.
Leave it to soak for a day or two. If there are any stains left, try scrubbing them out with a cleaning toothbrush before washing in the machine. If the stains don't come out, repeat with a new solution of boiling water.
(Caution: Cascade gel contains bleach)

They're impossible to get out because the deorderant residue has been baked in the dryer. To avoid this, wash stuff inside out so the deoderant washed out better. This is my theory. Anyone agree or disagree?
