I heard KOELSTRA sells in US.
BABYWHEELS sells them.
Anyone has experience with the Flexxo Twin?
Is it worth spending $875 on this?

I LOVE my koelstra. have used it for about a year and it's just amazing!!
I would only buy it if you do a lot of walking...for in and out the car it's not worth it.

you can pm me if you want

I do a lot of walking and would like a great walking stroller.
Can someone post a link to this particular stroller?
Does it have a bassinet option for a newborn? Does it fit through doorways?

Nevermind, I saw a link online on their site and I see it comes with a bassinet option. It looks nice. What makes it a great walking stroller? If it's not sold in the US I wont be able to test it....what is babywheels - a site I can buy it from?
I am not the OP....just asking further questions...

I don't know if they have a website, but the phone number for BABYWHEELS is 718-387-6096.
Check it out. I think they deliver.

Does anyone know if babywheels has it in stock that you can go in and test it out? (I never heard of babywheels - is it a store in brooklyn?)

Thanks for posting the phone number.

My sister bought a Koelstra Stroller {single- I think they call it Latinique} by Baby Wheels
it was delivered the next day, so I guess they do stock it.

Since I'm in the doubles parsha right now, here are my conclusions. I narrowed down my choices to the mountain buggy or koelstra. MB is a sturdier stroller, you can probably put 4 kids on it and still push it no problem. Koelstra has a nicer "smaller" look. Measurements are the same, they both fit through standard doors. Both have air tires, making pushing a breeze. I find koelstra a better option for 2 kids of different ages, as it has separately adjustable footrest and separate canopies.
They both have a bassinet option. Koelstra comes with 2 bumper bars, while in the MB its' a separate accessory. I think pricewise they come out about the same.
Any more questions, just ask.

Dear Maidele,
Thank you very much for your information.
I hear that Koelstra flexxo twin has springs so a crying baby could be easily calmed,
and the mountain buggy doesn't, true?

Yes. The springs on the koelstra are much better, the MB has hardly any, although they (MB) claim that the elite models do have some springs. It's actually something a friend of mine complained recently.

I'm also looking into double strollers at the moment.
what's the difference between the valco and koelstra?? which is better?
and do you think it is worth to get a bassinet for the newborn (I'll not be needing it for twins.)

it folds forward, pretty easy to do and the wheels come off. it is still quite bulky folded, that's why I wouldnt recommend it for in and out the car. I guess the city mini would be good for that.

each kid has his own footrest (with two levels), hood and bar, it lies back flat.
it's easy to push, even uphill and has a massive basket for shopping.(and it's pretty easy to put stuff inside from the front)
it's narrow but the kids, even the bigger one, are very comfortable.

amother, I had the double valco 5 years ago. It was the older 2004 model, and I heard they improved things for the newer ones, but I absolutely HATED it. It was hard to steer, the wheels kept getting stuck and I found the zipper system for putting the seatrest down extremely incovenient.
After I was done with it I sold it, but with my experience I xwasn't even intrested in getting a valco this time. It's also a lot heavier, and the underseat basket was hard to access.

As for a bassinet, it depends on how much walking you do, where you live, and when you're due. I'm iy"H due right in the beginning of the winter, and I walk TONS and I feel the newborns are really well protected in in, so for me it's a worthwhile investment.

Also the seats are somewhat narrower than the MB, and a big older kid in the winter, might look a little squished in it, although I haven't really heard any complaints. I think the MB seats are a little roomier.

And like someone mentioned, the basket has amazing access through the front and fits in quite a bit.
