Dr. Hyman sounds worth seeing if you can get in and insurance covers it. I had these big plans to go to a local naturopath once he was on my plan, even though my thyroid was in remission, just to know I wouldn't have to wait to see him as a new patient. Then I found out what a complete ignoramus he was about hyperthyroidism

I went to a Dr. Halberstam in the Bronx, not sure about insurance, he officially didnt take Oxford but billed them and they covered it. Frum guy, really nice, very knowledgeable, was considered tops and worth traveling for. His number is 718-518-1276. Good luck!!
