anyone has a alternative for heavy cream, sadly we can't get it here. I found for 1 c. of cream use 7/8th c. milk plus one tbs of butter from the kosher palette.

I asked that here a few weeks ago. Whipping cream works.

it would work for some things-like desserts-just please don't put nondairy whipping cream in your Penne a la Vodka or creamy soups!!

You can try sour cream. I use it sometime to make creamy sauces.
Cream cheese can also work - in KBD she has a recipe for a creamy broccoli thingie and for the sauce she uses cream cheese and some other things - I've used it on pasta in the past. It's very good.
