Prepare skewers, melted chocolate, whipped cream and cubed fruit and let everyone make their own dessert.

Or make a chocolate bark with dried fruit.

How do you prepare the choc bark?

I usually simply melt good quality dark chocolate and then spread it flat on parchment paper. Then I scatter the toppings (I like to use halved cashews, pistachios, and cranberries because the colors look nice) and stick the tray into the freezer to harden. When it's solid, you can crack it into shards.

I think you can also start off with a layer of graham crackers and then spread the chocolate on top of that, maybe melted with some margerine for thickness. I like it more pure.

How do the melted chocolate and whipped cream work with the skewers?

You dip the skewers into the chocolate and top with cream!

something my daughter likes - obviously more savory than sweet

take some phillo dough layered and bake it into a bowl shape - insert a round brie cheese - spread fig preserves - cover with pistachios & serve with crackers on the side
