Anyone been to lake placid in the summer? Is it usually full then?
Also any ideas of things to do?

I was there its gorgeous. what do u mean by full?
it was jewish enough that when we went during ben hazmanim we were stopped in the st to be notified they are having a shacharis minyan...(approx 13 ppl we in attendance when my husb went)

regarding stuff to do - not that much - u can't really stay for more than 3-4 days there. there's the high gorge falls (hike along falls), whiteface mountain (cable car up to a mountain peak and u can hike up there) u can watch ppl practice the olympics, boating and then just walking by the lake.
The scenery is really beautiful

We were only there for a day. We did the High Gorge Falls and then a boatride on the lake. It is gorgeous and was relaxing but also very crowded. If you're looking for a quiet getaway you may want to look elsewhere.
