Does anyone here do this? If so, did it help you lose weight?

yes I did it. I lost like 4-5 sizes. Basically kept it up even through a pregnancy. Did it with intuitive eating and a real food diet though.

I do it daily however it is to manage blood sugar. What I understand is that this should be done in conjunction with very low carb eating plan. It’s not a license to binge.

Can you ladies who have done 16/8 successfully please advise re: shabbos?
I found I’m always gaining over shabbos due to timing

It’s easy to eat more on shabvat. Timing is not the only influence on gaining weight. I know I eat more on Shabbat. We eat more variety and it’s easier to eat more than youbdo daily. That said, if you’re aiming for a lifestyle, remember it’s a Marathon not a sprint also it’s not permanent as long as you don’t go nuts and revert to your daily plan asap.

I just started and I find early shabbos is a must. Started eating at 1230 Friday afternoon so was able to eat the meal until 8. Started eating shabbos day also around 1145 so was able to eat until 745. I am more worried about pesach. I have only been doing it for less than a week and down almost 5 lbs Bh. I also have a significant amount to lose. At least 50 lbs.

Thank you!
So helpful ladies
Been doing this for a while and have seen success weight loss, overall energy levels higher and lower blood pressure.
I find that shabbos is hard cuz of timing. I try to keep my eating on point as much as I can. The first weeks were killer had terrible headaches but after the 3rd week I was going strong and felt my energy levels up and cravings curbed.
I do 16:8 as a lifestyle

I'm bumping this because I'm really trying to lose a few pounds and interment fasting seemed perfect for me. Problem is I'm doing 18/6 for a few weeks and not losing. I restricted my carbs etc. What am I doing wrong?

It's lose/losing
I was on 18/6 for several months and lost about 25 pounds, then it stopped working.

I've been doing it since tishrei. I lost 20 lbs and now I'm happy with my weight. I don't check the clock anymore but I never eat after my 5pm dinner. I also find I'm less hungry in the morning. A big thing I changed is noticing when I'm full and not stuffing myself just because the food is so good.

Losing weight is easy. Staying alive is hard. (Also, the vast majority regain the weight.)
