I have a 9-10 year old kiki which I still like but its too light for me now, I need a weekday sheitel. Is it worth it to dye it darker or try to scrape together some more money (that I dont really have) to get a new cheaper mazali etc?

If it’s still in good condition you can certainly put in lowlights or dye the whole thing.

You can definitely dye it darker. I have dyed a couple of 8 and 9 year old Kikis recently and they came out beautifully.

I’ve dyed my Sheitel before.
Came out great.
But the dye lasts just so long.
I think mine lasted 1.5 yrs before it needed it again.

Yes, CBG is correct. The dye does not last for a long period of time. But, if the sheitel is still in good condition, it's much cheaper to dye than buy a new one.
