Most years on Succos we have so many bugs. At night it's the little ones that end up on the table, and all the insects that fly into the kitchen when the door is constantly being opened. In the day time we always have bees. This year we did not see even one bee and there were hardly any insects in the sukkah or the house.
I'm guessing it's because Yom Tov was so late this year. And it was hardly cold, so we got the best of both worlds. I loved it!!

I guess it depends where you live. We had bees by every day meal in the Succah

When I lived in the US, my favorite hostess gift was a yellow jacket trap. I bought them by the case, and people were extremely grateful! (Be sure to hang them at least 20 feet away from the food, to draw them away.)
This year in Israel, I go bit up by mosquitoes, and I am highly allergic. I took a lot of antihistamines.

I was thinking the same! Every year we get tons of those big mosquitoes and carry them out with a cup and plate. This year we had barely any bugs bothering us! Like less than 10 all sukkos. That was a nice change.
