Just bought my kids natives again and I consider myself a very with it person in Lakewood. I don’t like floafers- haven’t seen anyone wearing them either.

I just checked them out. Theyre very cute actually. My kids wear "crocs" from the 99 cents store. If they'll sell a good imitation of these I might buy them when its time for new ones.

My kids feet get eaten up by the imitation crocs. Their skin peels and their feet sweat and smell awful. It took me a while to figure out that the problem is the plastic crocs.

Where I live the boys all wear slides. But it probably depends on your circles...

I don't think I ever paid more than $15 for genuine crocs or natives. You can always find a good deal on Amazon or crocs online.

Same, haven't seen any floafers anywhere. Got DD new ice-pink natives as she outgrew her old pair. Don't really care if people are wearing something else, though.

I still like Natives better. Many kids are still wearing natives around here. They make cute designs. My kids live in them.

My rule is no natives until your feet stop growing. Crocs can be worn a little big or small but natives need to fit. 2 of mine have natives. My younger 2 are in crocs (real but bought at discount) My husband and I wear crocs but we're old fuddy duddies lol.

A really fuddy duddy wouldn't be able to bring himself to wear Crocs. I should know some I'm married to one ;-)
My oldest son has my Crocs from 2 summers ago when I had to get humongous ones that matched my black pair due to a severely swollen and bandaged foot. They now fit him.
My second I just got Amazon knock off natives, cheaper than Crocs I found for him.
My next who is going through a growth spurt I got both for since the Crocs are a bit big but the Amazon natives she can wear instead of shoes for now in camp.
The next 2 girls only Crocs.
Next 3 knockoff natives (Amazon and target) to wear instead of shoes in camp.

My neighbors are wearing royal blue rubbery sandals. Now I see they are from this new brand. It looks ugly.

This brand doesn't have sandals. Floafers look like loafers but it's foam/croc material.
I remember when crocs came out, we couldn't get over how someone can wear such an ugly thing. Well, well, well. Some how when things get in style, they aren't ugly any longer....

I have a feeling kids won’t want to be wearing foam “school shoes” during summer
