I'm talking about 60s here. So either you're a bubby like me or you had family who would listen to those old oldies...

Well, in a crossword puzzle recently I came across a clue about a song called Domani. Well, I thought I remembered it.

I thought it went... domani... ho ho, hey cantare, ho ho ho ho
Well, it turns out Domani is a totally different song, & the one I remember is
Volare (means flying, whereas Domani means tomorrow!)

I'm curious how many of you remember old songs in foreign languages.
When I was a youngster all the way back then, I think it was our upstairs tenant who was into this kind of stuff. (My parents were more into Herb Alpert & Shlomo Carlebach.)

But, for example, there may have been popular songs in French, which I only learned later. So I can't seem to retrieve words, just impression.

One goes vaguely through my mind & the tune is very similar to part of "od yeshvu zkeinim uzkenos.." More like the part about "yeladim veyelodos yesachaku birchovoseha"

When I am trying to sing at night my husband is singing in italian

Haha..my father must've changed it to Tattenyu. I used to hate this song growing up because I was little and so not interested in hearing a song about a chosson.
