do fermented foods like sauerkraut , beet kvass, kefir, yogurt etc help with weigt loss?

I've heard they do but I eat them nearly every day and I'm still fat. Clearly it's not a magical food. But it's still good for gut health and I enjoy them so I'm sticking with it.
