So we had to keep a food and bathrooming/diaper etc log for the doctor.
How would you label the 💩 column? Stools? Bm’s? Poop?
Please don’t laugh.... when I talk to the doctor we talk about the poop or stools, but want to make sure I’m using the correct “lingo”...

I thought BM stands for big make. Lol
I was wondering why my child playgroup couldn’t write a proper word.
I’m realized now it stands for bowel movement. I’m laughing at myself Rolling Laughter Rolling Laughter Rolling Laughter

On the Internet some people also abbreviate breastmilk as bm which is very confusing. Are you sure you want to give that to your baby?

reminds me that after I gave birth they kept on asking me in the hospital if I've had a bowel movement and I thought it meant number 1 so I said yes...(it was in Israel but although I know Hebrew I didn't know it meant number 2 I thought it meant using the bathroom..

Yes, yes. But I’ve seen it other times and it was weird because totally wasn’t in birth control context.
Sorry I wasn’t clear that I consider bc as abbreviation for birth control...

To answer your question seriously-

Many health care providers use the words "poop" and "pee" when speaking among themselves. They also use those words when speaking to pediatric patients or patients with minimal education.

If you are comfortable being more technical, you can use "bowel movement" to describe the activity (eg "he had a bowel movement two times on Wednesday") and the actual matter as stool (eg "the stool was brown and well-formed"). But if you are more comfortable being informal, your doctor will certainly understand what you're saying.

I have a pet theory that whatever term your own family used when you were little is the one you find icky. For me, it was "BM", and I found "poop" less offensive. Go figure.

For a log like this, I'd probably label the columns "wet" and "dirty" if I were being informal, and "urine" and "feces" if being more formal. Honestly, the medical staff could care less. You could say yellow and brown, pee and poop, urination and elimination, #1 and #2, or any other terminology. They're interested in helping your baby.

BO- body odor

And then I see Bonei Olam's ad: WIN BIG at the BO auction.
Or the time they had a picture in their ads of a Little Tikes Cozy Coupe with a bumper sticker/license plate saying "I heart BO."
