I tested negative on a rapid but I think I might still have it. I also feel like I have a sinus infection, will antibiotics help me? Did anyone else have really bad sinus pain?

Yes I had bad sinus pain. Positive on PCR, did not have a rapid.
Also had fever but no other symptoms.

Did you take any antibiotics?

No. Covid is viral. Most sinus infections are viral as well and go away within 3 weeks.
I would only take antibiotics if my doctor cultured my sinus infection and determined it to be bacterial.
Speak to your doctor to hear what is best for you.

Antibiotics are useless against viral infections. I repeat, antibiotics are USELESS against viral infections. They are effective only against bacterial infections. Colds, flu, RSV, COVID, SARS, MERS, mumps, measles, rubella, chicken pox, herpes, polio, HIV, and Hepatitis A,B,C are all VIRAL infections.

Most sinus infections are caused by viruses and don't require antibiotics.
You can call your doctor if you are concerned.

Speak to your doctor about getting a Flonase nasal spray prescription. Then buy Afrid no drip sinus pump over the counter. Spray and wait 3-5 minutes for your nasal passages to open up. Then right away spray the Flonase (which also has a bit of steroids) so that it goes right where it needs to in the open airway. Do this once or twice a day for a few days. This will relieve the pain and pressure, and avoid it turning bacterial (when it stays stuffed up, that's when bacteria and infection come).
Refuah Shelaima!
