Trying to come up with new ideas for a cold or room temperature pasta to serve at shalosh seudos.

We’ve been having pesto pasta the past few weeks and my family is getting bored. I don’t like extra pots to wash, so if I can mix the marinade/spices by hand without using a pot that’s a huge plus.

Just so you get an idea of the amount of work I want to put in…for the pesto, I just mix oil with frozen cloves of garlic and basil, salt and pepper. And add to the cooked pasta. The end.

Was thinking maybe something with soy sauce, or Italian seasoning based? Any ideas?

You can also do spaghetti with olive oil, diced peppers, salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano, basil, and tarragon, with or without canned salmon or tuna. Comes out good and is great cold.

So many good ideas here! Thanks!

Anyone have an exact tried and true recipe for sesame noodles? I think my kids would go for that.

I do something similar to this, except I put less peanut butter and more sesame oil, and I use garlic powder and about half a teaspoon of sugar.

Thanks everyone. Made sesame noodles as per Pumpkin and it tastes great! (Was skeptical about the peanut butter at first lol)
We’ll see what the kids say!

Thanks again!

Tri Color Pasta Salad:
Cook and drain Pasta. Let cool.
Add diced pickles, canned corn (minus liquid), diced peppers, mayo, salt, and pepper.
If it's too thick you can add a drop of liquid from the pickles.
Really good!
