What can you tell me about this hechsher? Which rav is it under and which kehillah is it affiliated with?

Bump,

I saw it’s under Rabbi Shmuel Dovid Krausz,
Is it reliable hechsher?
I saw the Chinese place in bp on 18th and one on Coney are under this hashgacha

Whether or not it's a reliable hechsher nobody on here can tell you. You have to ask your lord.

He’s reliable for me - but how does that help you?

He’s a Rav in Williamsburg, very erlich.

Because I’ve never heard of it or him. It’s possible he’s a conservative Rabbi. Asking my LOR is pointless because he’s never heard of him either

He's very chassidish but I know people that don't eat it.

I asked my husband who's in kashrus.

He said it's not recommended (despite the ehrlichkeit of the individual Rov)

It's a chassidish hechsher but every hashgacha regardless of affiliation needs to be evaluated independently. Some people don't eat this. But we buy takeout there.

If you know this, why did you ask your original question? Scratching Head (you are the OP)

She asked in July. Maybe by now she knows...

I'm assuming she's been buying takeout there and only recently realized she doesn't know enough about the hechsher.

You have to ask someone who knows kashrus who knows you. Regardless of how chasidish he is, people rely on different kulos, churros, and standards. So you need someone whose standards align with your hashkafah.

I have done my research since July (at the start of my research, I posted the question here, but no one responded).
I asked the question when we wanted to buy takeout at the Chinese restaurant Glatt Kosher Family, and saw that it had a new hechsher called Udvari.
(The restaurant's name was actually changed to Glatt Family Express when it changed from the O-K to Udvari).
