I'm ready to go cold turkey with screen time. It has gotten out of hand, and I just want to throw out the tablet, or save it just for when we travel.
I usually download videos, and I thought my 4 year old would get bored of the same 4 videos since it has been a month since I updated it, but apparently she still finds them interesting.
Firstly- is this harmful? To just stop cold turkey?
What do I even tell her?

U did that with a 2 year old. Was a tough 2 weeks but so worth it. Don't have it at home so it's not an option for you to give in. Make sure u buy some new interesting toys so it's easier.

I cut down 90% & only allow 1 day v. every day.
I explained ahead of time (no more watching, no more devices) & planned w/ activities & a&c, toys etc to keep kid busy.

It’s definitely not harmful. What you say depends on your child. You could say we’re putting it away for a while and we’re going to do other things instead.
We’re taking a break from it.
The iPad is sleeping.
With this age, you can keep it simple.

We did it over the summer while we were upstate and my kids were out playing all day 100% worth it. Get a bunch of audio stories my daughter loves that too and it doesn't make them crazy.
