so I followed someones advice from an old thread about how to make this recipe....it was a ration of how to make this dip. So according to that it was 4 jalepinions! I made it and it is waaaaaaaaaaay to spicy! will the spice die over time? is there a way to cover it up? or is it supposed to be a "high heat" dish????
thanks!
ps: im pretty upset cause I made soooooooooooooooo much of this stuf!

Can you link the recip. I once made one from here & it was superb.
How can we know the ration without seeing the recipe? Although 4 jalapeno sounds hot.

matbucha can be as spicy, or not, as you like it. if its too spicy just add more tomatoes. peel and cut up and cook until soft. Or just add a can of crushed tomatoes.

4 jalapenos sounds like enough for 30 tomatoes.

"2 cans Hunts stewed tomatos
1 crushed clove garlic
1 jalepeno pepper sliced.
That is just a ratio, I make it out of 10 cans at a time (5 garlic cubes and 5 jalepenos)."
ok here is the original ration....and wow did I mess up! I must of read it quick and read all the other replies as well and got all confused! ok this makes more sense and so according to the amount of hunts stewed tomatoes that I used I should have used 2 jalepenios and NOT 4!
well it looks like I learned a big lesson on how to make this otherwise very tasty dish!
its hot but still good, I think, at least my dh keeps telling me he likes it
thanks ladies!
