I am having severe anger issues with my six year old dd. she is a brilliant child. excellent in school but at home has massive tempers, shouting, long tirades, holding head in angry despair when things don't go her way. for example, she was 'making a show' for me friday night and I sang along with her. she immediately launched into one of her rages, screaming for about 10 minutes.
I try to just remove her from scene and speak to her in a calm voice. but although she sees its a prob, she is not able to control herself when things go wrong for her the next time.
it kind of began four months ago when I had a baby but it seems to be getting worse. anyone have any tips, experience with this kind of situation. can anyone recommend a book that deals with this sort of thing.
thanks
