I had no ID or other credit cards. When I go shopping I like my hands free so I just slip a credit card/cash into my pocket and go. She told me she would get in trouble if she let me use an unsigned credit card, so I didn't argue.

Actually I'm not coming to the seuda, as my dh doesn't want to go...but I figured it would be fun to help cook as well...I'm working on dh to agree to go to a couple of the seudot during the year as I had such a great time when I went last time.

I don't have patience for blintzes this year embarrassed so I made a blintz loaf instead. Basically pour half of the blintz batter into the pan, pat down the cheese filling, pour the other half of batter on top, and bake. It's really easy, from the Spice and Spirit purple cookbook.
I'm hoping my guest will bring her amazing homemade blintzes. Tongue Out if not, not.

I'm starting to get nervous reading this thread. haven't gotten the groceries for shabbos yet. I'm not on Shavuous at all. I'm going out the first day meal which helps though. the bad news though: they eat two full meals, a milchig meal and a fleishig meal. Help!

im not into freezing stuff, maybei should be... I think freezeing affects the taste, no matter how well you package it... I think most tihngs are not meant to be frozen. so ill make everything monday and tuesday. I work it out that everything else is clean and ready to go , then just concentrate on cooking.

I didn't mean to make anyone nervous! Believe me, I'll be plenty busy Sunday, Monday, Tuesday which is why I'm cooking ahead. (Just cleaned 4 chickens Wink)

Shayna, my food won't be freezer burnt, don't worry. Wink

HindaRochel, here's the recipe:

Batter:
1/2 cup margarine melted- I used 1/4 cup (maybe less) oil
2 eggs
1 tsp baking powder- which made the loaf rise so much it completely cracked on top which is why we ate it Smile I'm skipping the baking powder next time, or putting in much less
3 tablespoons sugar- I put less, maybe 2
3/4 cup milk
1 1/4 cups flour
Mix this together, very well.

Cheese filling:
1 lb. cottage cheese
2 tablespoons margarine, softened
1 egg
1 tablespoon sour cream
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
4 ounces cream cheese

I didn't use this cheese filling, since I didn't want to buy a tub of sour cream just for one tsp, so I used the cheese filling from their blintz recipe:
Mix:
1 lb. cottage cheese
2 egg yolks
2 tbsps flour
2 tbsps sugar- I put 1
1 tsp vanilla sugar- I skipped that
raisins- optional, I skipped that (yuck:))

Pour half the batter into a greased 9x5 loaf pan, spoon the cheese filling over it, pour the rest of the batter over the filling.
Bake for an hour at 350.

This literally took me seconds to put together.
