Bedtime songs— what do you sing?

Besides for saying shema and singing hamalach I also sing b’shem hashem (Benny Friedman version) to my children.

I love that song— so hard to not get emotional from it. Basically saying not to be afraid of the dark because you have 4 angels with you and hashem above you. 🥹

Yeah my kids are tiny. A little part of me knows once my son hits like idk 6-8 I won’t have patience 😂 who knows

Hamalach
Lulei Sorascha
Ana Hashem
And recently we added Acheinu

It's usually this order unless my daughter (3y) wants to switch it up.

I found it online, so I will post it. The song was composed by Marc Levine, possibly with his sister Shira. I know they recorded it together, not sure if she helped compose the tune. They’re both super talented, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she collaborated with him.

It's been a while since my kids are teens now but we had a whole list:

3. Sleep little flower (Machon play)
4. traditional hamalach after saying shema
5. hamalach from country yossi
6. Uncle Moishe's hamalach

I used to do bshem- I don’t remember why I stopped
Then I sing Hashem loves child, mommy loves child, Abba loves child and then all the siblings..
I also made up a song about how much I love my children and go through each one by name

Mrs. Fayge Loewi wrote it. I don't think it's recorded at all. She's a daughter of Reb. Zahava Braunstein. She wrote many songs, either for Camp Shira, or Ateret Torah High School, or other unofficial things.

Lots of respect to all of you. I didn't realize there are mothers who sing whole concerts every night! We just about make it through hamalach hagoel and shema.
