So my absolutely gorgeous dd is in second grade. She's got 2 teachers in the morning and 2 teachers in the afternoon. Now, there is also a third teacher who is primarily to help/take out several specific children. (However dd is the sweety type of kid who doesn't really know her teacher's names)
When I've had to pick dd up early for an appointment, I noticed that the 3rd teacher (in the afternoon) was with the class as a whole.
Generally speaking I like to give MM to ALL teachers, so I arranged a MM for the 3rd teacher.
Thing is, the 3rd teacher in the morning left a few weeks ago and I just found out who the replacement is. So I promptly arranged a MM for her.
Then my darling comes home from school and I ask her, "is miss x in your class?" And she looks at me and says she has no idea who she is and there are only 2 morning teachers!!!
And I'm thinking - omg! Should I still give this 3rd teacher??
(My wise sister says absolutely, because if all the teachers will be discussing the creative MM they received from me, this teacher shouldn't be left out and also it's better to give than not to!)
What do you wise imas think??

I think you’re way too organized!
Sorry not helping you, but to already have mm prepared… you’re giving me anxiety!

Can I get a mm from you too? ☺️
But seriously speaking, please share some creative ideas of what to give teachers !!!
And yes definitely send to all the teachers that are in the room. Worst case if she isn’t there, they’ll send it back home ….

As a intervention specialist who in the past has been in the classroom for 2-4 kids, there are definitely times where you end up watching the whole class (if the teacher needs the bathroom, has a meeting, sick and can’t find a sub), you definitely end up helping with the class but it’s extremely rare to be counted as a teacher for anyone other than the official students.
