Chava Leah sounds very pretty to me and I don't really see the need for a nick name, but then again I am a Leah who goes by two names.
And who cares if Cha-la sounds like Challah? Challah is a wonderful women's mitzvah, part of the acronym in the name Chana and Gwen Stefani really made it cool with her "holla back gurl"

What do you think about that?
Is it too similar to Kayla? There is a cousin in the family with that name.
