I have always wondered. You use raw beets and then what is the texture after fermented? Are they soft or you have to cook them?

I use the liquid of the fermented beets.

I think you can ferment beets too. I think fer real sells it but dont know how you make it.

Sorry I only come onto imamother randomly once or twice a week….
I linked it above. I dont use picklit because those are so expensive and I dont think theyre better. These lids plus mason jars in different sizes have been perfect for me for pickles, sourdough and beets.

how much salt do you use?

have you heard people having trouble with the pickl-it or am I the only one?

Actually the people I know who use pickle it are in love with it.
I dont have amounts. I use my eyes. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.

Perhaps try a smaller jar with just two beets so that if it doesn’t work you won’t be wasting so much

thanks so much. will have to look into water filter.

does a water filter also remove the good minerals or just the chlorine etc..
