Dd 12 is going to sleep away for the first time. We live Oot so need to order all her clothing online. I don’t want to shop and shop without a budget in mind. What is a normal budget to buy her a camp wardrobe for a month of camp?

There’s no budget, you buy what you need for the summer and she uses it in camp. You might needs some extra socks and underwear but otherwise it’s all the same clothing.

She wants clothing from nice stores ie: fame teen etc. this can add up very quickly and I’d like her to be aware of how much she can spend

I put a limit on amount of items. Tell her she can get 2 or 3 nice things from fame and then the rest from a cheaper store. I don’t ever know overall budget I just spread out the cost over a few months. And we reuse a lot of basics the navy year.

It really depends which camp. My DD’s OOT friends had more Meli shirts from Fame last year than she did.

Anyone have an idea of how much a summer wardrobe should cost?

12 tshirts x $30 = $360
8 skirts x $50 = $400
Underwear, socks, stockings, toiletries...
I think I spent in the $1200 range total but could be even more.
Most of DD's clothes she's been wearing for the entire year since then, so at least she got good use from it
