DH's Kapota buttons are constantly falling off. I've tried doubling and quadrupling the thread when sewing them back on, but they're still falling off! I've tried moving the buttons over, thinking it might be because the kapota has gotten too tight, but A) that didn't help, they still fell off B) He hasn't gained THAT much since we got married!!!! and C) even the buttons on the sleeves and back fall off!!!

I'm tempted to sew them on this time using fishing wire or a hot glue gun or something- anything to just make them stay on, especially as the more they fall off, the more we lose them, and it's driving me nuts to sew them on knowing that it's only a matter of time till I have to do it again.

Any ideas please??????????????????????????? Help At wits end Dont know

Very Happy The lazy solution is safety pins, they work great.

Are you using regular thread or button thread? Button thread is a lot lot thicker and lasts better.

Someone once suggested elastic thread, but it may have been a joke. Very Happy
