...in isolating from families that already have it. My husband and one child have corona. Also one of my parents and one of dh parents. I told everyone I can’t come for pesach and they can’t come to me (even though many of my sils are). But what’s the point? We’ve all been exposed anyway, no?

Good question. And I think part of it is that nobody is 100% sure that if you have it and recover you have immunity from being reinfected. But also, if some people start gathering together because they all already had it, then other groups of people may decide for themselves they are getting together without being tested, without really knowing and just assuming things and it's just easier to have a blanket rule for everyone to follow at this time.
