ds has strep and started antibiotics at 10:30 this morning. I know I should wait 24 hours. Camp starts tomorrow at 9:15 and I have something urgent at work at 9:30. Is he really contagious at 9 tomorrow morning. He will have had three doses of antibiotics already. I wont send him if he's really contagious but I dont believe that there's a difference between 23 hours and 24 hours. What do you think?

I'm with you. I can't imagine a significant difference between 23 and 24 hours on an individual basis. Maybe in large-scale research they determined that 24 hours is when the risk of contagion is gone but that doesn't mean your kid is spreading strep to his whole class because you sent him to school 45 minutes early. Give him the next dose before school though.
