Disclaimer: DO NOT RESPOND IF YOU DONT GIVE VACCINES!
I wanna start vaccinating my 1 yr old.Somebody gave me a good idea to give the shots we got when we were younger. I'm the 35-40 age. Anybody have an idea which shots were given then? I tried obtaining my medical records but I couldn't.

Why not ask your pediatrician instead of wild goose chasing what other people think are important?

I did not ask what's important. I asked what shots were given 35-40 yrs ago.
I'll edit my post

I'm trying to obtain solid information not opinions. I don't see anything wrong with that.

I vaccinate my kids on schedule but also don’t think it’s necessarily an issue to choose some shots that you don’t give. However, I’m not sure this criteria of what did we give years ago is the right one. I’d find a doctor who is okay with partial vaccination and ask for her opinion about which ones are important regardless of when they were created.

I know it's a great idea. Find me one in Brooklyn.

afaik everything was given except chicken pox, shingles, flu, and hpv

like I would want to vaccinate for sure against polio, small pox, diphtheria, rubella, pertussis, measles, mumps.
these vaccinations/vaccines have been around for over 50 years.

How far back are you looking? In the 1960s and 1970s and 1980s we got dpt, mmr and polio, which was then a live vaccine. In the 1990s my children also got hib and meningitis. Later chicken pox and prevnar was added

I'm curious as to what the reasoning behind this would be. Why specifically choose to skip vaccines that weren't available yet when we were children? Why that criteria? I don't follow the logic. I mean, if the polio vaccine had only come out 10 years ago you wouldn't choose to give it?

Nope, that's a newer one than 30-35 years old.
